Mount Singgalang

Mount Singgalang located at an altitude of 2877 m above sea level (dpl). Mount Merapi is close to the City of Bukittinggi, precisely Agam District, West Sumatra, Indonesia.

Privileges
Among the many mountains in West Sumatra, Mount Singgalang is a tourist attraction that is often visited by tourists. On the peak of the mountain, you eill find two ponds named “Telaga Dewi” and “Telaga Kumbang”

Getting There
Mount Singgalang can be reach easy enough, considering its location is not far from the center of Bukittinggi and Padang Panjang. From Padang or Minangkabau International Airport to Mount Singgalang takes about 2 hours to get to the location. Meanwhile, if departed from Bukittinggi City takes approximately 30 minutes. Transportation to reach the location can be done through land routes, can use public transport or travel. Transportation costs between Rp 15,000 – Rp 20,000 per person.

To reach the top of the mountain, there are three ways that can be accessed:

1. Pandai Sikek way (from Koto Baru), it started from Padang City to Koto Baru and continue to Pandai Sikek by any accessible public transportaion, transportation cost about Rp 3,000.
2. Kenagarian Malalak way (from Toboh), it started from Padang to Bukittinggi continue to Toboh by any public transportations, transportation cost about Rp 5,000.
3. Balingka way, it started from Padang to Bukittinggi (Padang Luar) continue to Batu Tagak, transportation cost about Rp 4,000.

Accommodation
Mount Singgalang location not far from the city of  Bukittinggi and Padang Panjang. You may spend more nights as there are many hotels that can be found.

Along the road to Mount Singgalang, there are many restaurants offering various cuisine Padang food can cure hunger tourists.
