Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta

Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta is a heaven that promises a tropical landscape of the undulating and steep. This place is a natural reserve areas of primary forest of West Sumatra which serves to preserve germplasm, natural resource protection, education and research, guidance and love of nature covering 70,000 hectare. Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta covered by a wide variety of tropical plants that are still original and is inhabited by hundreds of animal species typical of the island of Sumatra. In this area there are 352 species of flora and 170 species of protected fauna.

Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta is a part of Kerinci Seblat National Park. This area covering of 14 rivers, some of which lead to Padang, such as the Batang Arau, Batang Kuranji, and Batang Air Dingin. Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta not just a botanical garden but as well as a place of recreation. This place is a must to visit especially for nature lovers.

Getting There
Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta located on the way to Solok and is about 300 -1,000 metres above sea level. Transportation to Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta is not difficult, because all buses going to Solok has to pass this park

The cool mountain air and ponoramic view, make this area a popular resort for both young or old. For the younger age group, they can camp and explore the area nearby while the older people can go for long walks in the park. Monkeys and otiier animals can also found here, and they protected by the park garden.
